Products for the Creative Mind

International voltage requirements

Different countries have power that runs on different voltages, AC frequencies, and plugs. Be sure to purchase the correct voltage product for your location! A product designed for 110/120 volt input will not operate on 220-240 volt power and may cause irreparable damage to the product.

Our line of Digital Art Projectors, LED LightTracer, LightPad LX, and LightPad PRO series include a switching power supply that will operate on any voltage between 100-240V and 50-60 Hz without the need for a voltage transformer. These will work in different countries as long as you have the appropriate power cord with a plug for your location or a travel plug adapter that is rated for at least 5A (amps) or 600W (watts). Please continue reading for how to identify if your product will work without a voltage converter and instructions on how to use it.

WARNING: The following products are designed for 110/120 volt OR 220-240 volt input. Using a North American version internationally will cause damage to these products:

  • EZ Tracer
  • Tracer
  • Prism and Super Prism
  • 1520 and 1530 Spray Booth
  • Designer and DesignMaster

Digital Art Projectors

If your Artograph projector has a switching power supply as shown in the picture on the left you have two options for using the projector internationally.

Option 1: You can purchase a new power cord for your country as shown in the picture on the right. This power cord will need a “clover-leaf” or “Mickey Mouse” style connector as shown, which is called an IEC 320-C5 connector, and the other end will need a plug to match your country’s standard.

Option 2: You can use a travel plug adapter that does not convert the voltage but connects the three-prong North American plug to match the plug for your location. The adapter must be rated for at least 5A or 600W.
