What is lux?

Lux (lx) is a standard unit to measure the perceived power of light over an area and is equal to one lumen per square meter. This can be thought of as the brightness of an illuminated surface.

In regards to our LightPad® light boxes, the lux measurement provides a reference to the brightness difference on the work surface between the models. For example, the LightPad® PRO1200™ and PRO1700™ have the same lux rating as they appear the same brightness although the two models are different sizes.
